Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! Let's celebrate love!
Of course, there are many years when we don't have a special someone, and so society's tidal wave of candy and decorations and cards and flowers seems over-the-top and plain old depressing. I know I spent many a Valentine's Day alone and told myself it's just another day. And it is. But we all love something sometime, so let's celebrate that!
To celebrate love, in all its crazy magical forms, I'm giving away some beautiful red and pink sock yarn and two free copies of my Totally Twisty Toe-Up Tube Sock pattern. Here's the yarn:
2 skeins of Koigu in an appropriately pinky-red colorway
and one skein of Anne sock yarn (already wound! enough for a pair of socks). (PS - for those of you with allergies, my yarn is normally kept in cat-proof containers, but I thought that plunking down the yarn next to an admittedly surprised cat made for a more interesting picture.)
To be eligible, leave a comment in the comments or on the Momogus Knits group on Facebook and tell me one thing or person that you love and why. My loyal assistant will pick two winners at random. (Remember if you comment here, to leave your email address or I have no way to get in touch with you!)
I'll start:
1. I love my husband, because he makes me laugh out loud every day
2. I love my son, because he's goofy and intense and sweet
3. I love salt and vinegar potato chips, because they satisfy two of my favorite cravings: salt and vinegar!
4. I love baseball, in every iteration from T-ball to the bigs.
You get the idea. Tell me who or what you love! Let's share the love!!

I love my husband because he is my greatest supporter and best friend. We will be married 38 years in a few weeks and I'm more in love now :) We've been through some very tough times and some very good times and he is still here for me...and of course,me for him.

I love my little black cat, who used to be such a spook and now sits on my shoulder, and my big black dog, also a local rescue. I love strong pink, fuschia, purple colorways! My first sock knitting attempt has devolved into a tubular swatch. When I sulk about romantic love, I think about the Valentine Peace Project instead.

I love my family because they love the hand knit items I make them all, through out the year!
I love my dog and 3 cats, because they "hang" with me while I am on the computer!
I love my husband, Kenny. He values me and shows me every day how deeply he loves me and our family. Our children have told me they are very glad that they have two parents that showed them how to love through life's trials and tribulations and continue to grow in this love.
I love my husband Ernie. He is my best friend. We are currently on the road in a 34ft motor home (almost 6 months) and we have yet to say a cross word to one another. He bought me a Papillion puppy named Toby that delights me on a daily basis. They both put up with my yarn habit. I always have a knitting project going.

I love my husband for the peace that he brings me, I love my Son, for his kind, kind heart, that shines brightly through his fight with multiple disabilites. I love my Daughter, for her the understanding and calm that she gives me. I love my kitty Lily - always ready to give out warm fuzzies to anyone in need!

I love my husband for his kindness and his funny jokes, my son's sparkly eyes, my daughter's sunny face, but most of all I love Jujyfruits.. Except the black ones. Those I used to throw down on the floor of the movie theater, but now I give them to my husband. Another reason I love him.
I am knitting headbands for my daughter......
I enjoy knitting. I've been knitting for 2 years.....
I love my husband because he is SO supportive of all my endeavors. He never questions my yarn and fabric purchases ... 33 fun-filled years of marriages.
I forgot to leave you my e-mail address!!

Hope you had a very lovey-dovey day!
I love my husband, because he is always been and is there for me thick and thin.
I love our 4 kids, because they are my life and such blessings.
I love my two little granddaughters. They remind each day what life is all about. AND especially when they are trying to knit, crochet or tat.
Thank you for an awesome giveaway. I can understand the 'trying to think of Valentines day as just 'another' day'.
