February 27

Still ironing out the kinks, new blog-wise. Soon you will be blown away by this blog's mightiness.

In recent MK knitting, I started a sample of ES2, the Easy Baby Pullover, in circular form. This is Kraemer  Yarns' Little Pebbles yarn (which is maybe not the best name for a yarn, especially one for babies, unless the parents are Flintstones fans....). The yarn was given to me by my sales rep extraordinaire, Erica, who also reps for Kraemer. It's a cotton and acrylic blend, which I usually like, since my hands don't like 100% cotton, but it knits like 100% cotton. The color is pretty, with little very subtle nups of tweed in it. Like so:

I'm also teaching a class on NS1 Fingerless Gloves at the Tangled Web this weekend, so I thought I'd knock out a pair to scrape off the rust since I hadn't made a pair in a couple of years.... The yarn is Plymouth Boku, which is a sort of Noro Silk Garden imitator - it lacks the awesome color wackiness of Noro, but also lacks the pricetag. I like how this one looks (though it has a strand of grey right at the wrist that looks like a bracelet. huh.):
